as with natural light, studio light has its own unique challenges when capturing portraits.  

 

this workshop will teach you how to manipulate the light to create a stunning image.  You don't need a professional camera, just inspiration and the desire to learn.  Our experienced tutor will discuss quality and quantity of light, direction, defusing, using coloured gels and show you how you can create high and low key images with very little fuss.  the skills you will gain from this workshop can be used in a variety of studio photography, not just portraits.

a portrait begins with an idea, which is then developed through a story board to create a narrative. the visual narrative is further developed in the studio where you will perfect your image.  

 

a model will be provided on the day.
