natural light
Portraits begin with beautiful light.
Emotion in an image is the element which draws our attention and holds our gaze. Deciding what emotion you are trying to achieve is the beginning of creating your portrait. Emotion can be created by constructing your theme, planning the steps to achieve it and a lot of time and patients.
Sensitive people faced with the prospect of a camera portrait put on a face they think is the one they
would like to show to the world... Every so often what lies behind the facade is
rare and more wonderful than the subject knows or dares to believe.......Irving Penn
This workshop will show you how to use natural light to capture emotion in your subject - indoors and out.
