Liquid Emulsion
liquid emulsion
Liquid Emulsion is a process of painting a silver based emulsion onto a surface, exposing this under an enlarger and processing in chemistry in the darkroom.
This workshop brings the digital world and historical processes together as you will be using digital files to make your digital negatives. We will show you how to prepare and apply the Liquid Emulsion, teach you what to look for in your negatives to get the best results, how to expose, develop and process the image after development.
The process gives you freedom to create images on surfaces such as glass, fabric, metal, timber, natural surfaces, watercolour paper, etc. It is up to you and your imagination!
